What is an affirmation?

Affirmation: The act or process of confirming something/repeating something

Often a statement that confirms and reinforces an idea within your mind with the purpose of translating it into positive experiences in your physical reality.

An Affirmation is

  • A statement that described exactly what you wish to experience,
  • Set in the present time, meaning that your words suggest you are already experiencing your desired outcome,
  • Something you wish to embody and become,
  • Positively stated, you express the statement as you wish it to be true,
  • Short and to the point,
  • Emotionally meaningful,
  • A statement that becomes a belief in your subconscious mind with PSYCH-K!

Affirmations are powerful focused tools that allow you to create what you wish for in your reality. When you repeat an affirmation, it focuses your mind on the energy, feeling and comprehension of your desire. Rather than a distant thought it becomes an active part of your thought process, and the more you think about something the more you attract it into your reality. You begin to explore what it would be like to experience your desired outcome in your reality as well as executing necessary actions to manifest and attract new opportunities into your life.

Why do affirmations fail to manifest in your life?

Many people repeat statements of their desired outcome over and over with the purpose of changing an experience in their reality from something they don’t want to something they do. When an affirmation is stated with meaning, emotion and full acceptance of the statement it can be magnetic in creating energetic shifts, emotional peace and enhanced confidence. It has the power to manifest into your reality for you to experience.

When you repeat an affirmation, it is a conscious choice and it is your conscious mind which is focusing upon the affirmation, desiring its outcome in your life. A conscious thought is not enough to make changes in your life, your subconscious mind also needs to accept and retain the thought. Unfortunately, your subconscious mind only accepts affirmations or beliefs which it already has stored within its database. If the affirmation isn’t stored within your database, however much you consciously want it to manifest, your subconscious mind will ignore the affirmation. It is often that your subconscious mind has been programmed as a child, by family members, surroundings and experiences to hold the complete opposite of what you are trying to create, otherwise you would already be experiencing your desired outcome.

You would probably need to repeat an affirmation millions of times before it became programmed in your subconscious mind as a belief that you create your life from. 95% of the time you are operating on autopilot from your subconscious mind so if the affirmations or belief statements of your desired outcome aren’t present in your subconscious mind then they are less likely to manifest.
